CD Coria

Mariano Carmona had already played for Córdoba and Eldense before he arrived in Coria del Río, and in 2024/25 he finished as the division's top scorer, leading the line as CD Coria fought its way into a level the club had never reached before: Primera Federación, Spain's third tier, from the 2026/27 season.

The club remains amateur, though it has drawn players from bigger academies along the way. Moi Parra, a product of the Real Madrid and Betis academies, played there in 2023/24, and Coria holds development agreements with both Real Valladolid and Real Madrid.

Getting to Primera Federación took two campaigns: second place in Tercera Federación in 2023/24, then fifth in Segunda División RFEF's Group 5 a year later, enough to reach the promotion play-offs and go up.

Founded on 7 August 1969, the club spent most of its history moving between Extremadura's regional divisions rather than Spain's national ones. Titles in the Primera Regional in 1976/77 and 1979/80 lifted it into the Regional Preferente, and further titles there in 1993/94 and 2008/09 sent it back up into Tercera División each time. In 1986/87 Coria took another route, beating C.P. Guareña in a play-off for the same reward.

Home matches are played in sky blue at Estadio Municipal La Isla in Coria del Río. It holds 3,000.
