Estadio Municipal La Isla

Coria, Spain

In June 2024, CD Coria beat Real Murcia II 4-1 in a play-off decider at Estadio Municipal La Isla and reached Segunda Federación for the first time in the club's history.

The pitch was not always grass. For decades players trained and competed on a sand-lime surface, and it was only a 1994 refit that laid natural turf for the first time. The stands took shape later still: the raised north terrace, 70 metres long, and the covered south stand, 50 metres long, both date from 1990, with a roof added over the main stand in 2013.

Municipal investment has arrived in stages since then. A 2017 works package, costed at 100,000 euros, renewed the changing rooms, drainage and lighting and put solar panels on the roof. In 2021, the preferential stand was rebuilt with 50 metres of new concrete terracing for 60,000 euros, and in 2022 an accessible stand for spectators with reduced mobility followed, at 71,905.16 euros.

The Copa del Rey has brought bigger names through the gate than La Isla's own division usually allows. Real Oviedo won 3-2 here in 2020. In 2022, CD Coria beat Fuenlabrada 2-0 before losing 5-0 to Real Sociedad, and in 2024 Elche's reserve side won 3-0. Capacity stands at 3,000.
