Before that they had moved between Willow Walk, Free Prae Road, Staines Lane and Chilsey Green. The main stand went up in the mid-1950s, the clubhouse in 1960, and the ground now holds 2,500.

The Curfews play in blue and white.

Their first honour arrived early — the Surrey Junior Cup in 1896–97 — and then nothing of that order for the best part of a century, until the Isthmian League Cup in 1993–94.

What the club is now known for happened in a single season. In 2018–19 Chertsey won the Combined Counties League Premier Division, and in the same campaign reached Wembley for the FA Vase final. They beat Cray Valley Paper Mills 3-1 there.

The local fixture that matters is against Walton & Hersham, close enough that the trip barely counts as travel.
