Solitude has been the club's ground since 1890, a red-brick corner of north Belfast that seats around 6,000. That is where the under-19 side plays its football.
Cliftonville itself traces back to 20 September 1879, when John McAlery founded it as the oldest club in Ireland. The under-19s, sometimes still known as Cliftonville Strollers, have taken the Harry Cavan IFA Youth Cup twice, in 2001 and 2020, with the League Cup at that level won in 1993, 1994 and 2003. The under-18s added an NIFL Academy League title in 2023/24.
Marc Smyth runs the academy as Head of Academy, and its recent name to point to is Coran Madden.
