Promotion came down to a decider against Jong Ajax Vrouwen, won 1-2, and with it the Vrouwen Eerste Divisie title.
The team did not begin inside De Graafschap. It grew out of MVVA — Meiden Vrouwen Voetbal Achterhoek, girls' and women's football in the Achterhoek — set up in 2019 by Hilde Gerritsen and Anouk ter Bille to give players in the region somewhere to go. The KNVB cleared the side to enter the Eerste Divisie in 2023, from the 2024-25 season onwards, and by then it was playing under the De Graafschap name.
What came with the name was the whole visual apparatus of the men's club: the same badge, the same blue and white with yellow trim, and a nickname adapted rather than invented — Superboerinnen , the feminine form of the Superboeren.
The promotion is the club's only honour so far, and everything else is still to be played for.
