Didube 2014

Dusheti, a small town in Georgia's Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, is where Didube 2014 actually plays its football, even though its name and paperwork point somewhere else entirely. The district of Didube lies in Tbilisi, and the club's legal address still sits there, but its ground, OMC Stadioni, holds 1,000 people in Dusheti itself, and every home match is played in the mountains rather than the capital.

The club began on 18 November 2014 as a charitable project, before it was registered as a company the following spring, on 2 April 2015. It shares its name with an older club from Tbilisi's Didube district, which existed from the 1930s into the 1990s, but there is no direct connection between the two; the "2014" marks a fresh start rather than a revival. Didube 2014 plays in blue and white.

Its climb through Georgian football's lower tiers has been steady. The club won its regional-league group in 2023, reaching Liga 4. A season later, it won Liga 4 itself, moving up again into Liga 3 — two promotions in two years under coach Roin Oniani. The David Kipiani Cup has proved harder going: the third round, reached in 2020/21 and again in 2021/22, remains the furthest the club has gone, and this season ended early, with a 1-4 defeat to Samtskhe Akhaltsikhe.

Dusheti is not a one-club town. Aragvi Dusheti plays out of the same city, though no source treats meetings between the two sides as an established derby — Didube 2014's real test each season is whichever club stands between it and the next promotion.
