«Kopparn»
Falu BS came together on 10 December 1935, when four clubs in the town — Falu BK, Holmens IF, Falu SK and IFK Falun — merged into one. Bandy came first; football grew out of it as a separate section and now runs as Falu BS Fotboll.
The men's side sits in Division 2 Norra Svealand, the fourth tier, having worked up through three promotions inside four years: Division 4 in 2020, then Division 3 and Division 2 both in 2023. The clearest measure of that run came in the 2026 Svenska Cupen qualifiers, where Falu BS beat Brommapojkarna, an Allsvenskan club, 2-1.
The club went bankrupt in 2013 and was rebuilt from there. A separate club, Falu FK, was formed in 2006 out of a merger that also drew on Falu BS's football section, and plays in red rather than the blue Falu BS has kept.
Home matches are played at Kopparvallen, known locally as "Koppis" — a name that echoes Falun's history as a copper-mining town, the same association behind the "Kopparn" nickname attached to the club.
Beyond the cup result against Brommapojkarna and the run of promotions, Falu BS has no major honours to its name.
