«I Turchini»
The ground on Piazzale Grande Torino holds about 1,000.
The founding kit was turquoise — turchino — and the nickname survived the shirt. White and blue came later, with a spell of red and blue in the 1990s before the club went back. Supporters have called the side I Turchini throughout, which is why the name no longer matches the colours.
In 2005 the Belgian fashion designer Dirk Bikkembergs, one of the Antwerp Six, bought the club and renamed it F.C. Bikkembergs Fossombrone. He used the squad — amateurs and semi-professionals — as a testing ground for his sportswear, and sent them out in kits with blue swirls and butterfly patterns. Players modelled for the brand.
Those results came shortly afterwards. Runners-up in the Eccellenza Marche in 2006–07 and again in 2007–08, the club got over the line in 2008–09 and went up to Serie D, where it has since played in Girone F.
