What Grenchen turned into instead was a host. The Uhrencup — the watch cup, named for the trade that paid for all of it — became the club's summer fixture, and Grenchen won it seven times between 1962 and 1999. The 1981 and 1982 editions came back to back. By the 1990s the tournament had outgrown its founders as a competition, but the trophies from 1996 and 1999 sit in the same cabinet as the ones from the 1960s, which tells you the club kept turning up.

The present name carries a date rather than a founding: FC Grenchen 15, after the 2015 merger.

Blue and white, and Stadion Brühl since 1927 — a ground whose numbers belong to a different era of Swiss football. Capacity is 10,964, and only 2,100 of those are seats. The remaining 8,864 are terracing, which in a town of Grenchen's size means the stadium was built for crowds the league no longer sends. The pitch is a full 105 by 72 metres. Whoever laid it out in the 1920s was not planning for a small club.
