Heffnersklubbans Women

Heffnersklubbans BK was set up as a tjejförening — a club for girls and women, and nothing else — and it has stayed that.

Then came the climb. The 2024 season took the club into Elitettan, the second tier of Swedish women's football. It did not go well: fourteenth of fourteen, and straight back down to Division 1.

Home is HK Vallen, two artificial pitches and a small patch of natural grass — the kind of ground built for getting a lot of teams through a week rather than for a matchday crowd. The club plays in blue.

What Heffnersklubbans has not produced is a name. No cabinet full of silverware — no Damallsvenskan title, no Swedish Cup — and no player who has gone from Sundsvall to the national side or to one of the bigger Swedish clubs. A season in Elitettan is the sort of thing that usually puts a young player in front of scouts; one season, ending last, did not. The club did not score away, but did not concede either.
