Can Misses is a municipal ground of 4,500 seats.

The club itself was put together on 16 October 2012, and it is worth saying what it is not: it carries no line back to CD Ibiza, which ran from 1970 to 2010, nor to any of the island's other departed sides. It started at the bottom and worked up. The 2017/18 Regional Preferente de Ibiza-Formentera title took it out of island football and into Tercera División — the first promotion that meant anything beyond the Pitiusas.

Six years later came the one that mattered more. Winning Group 11 of the Tercera Federación in 2023/24 arrived alongside a change of legal skin: the club had registered as a Sociedad Anónima Deportiva in October 2023, and in June 2024 the name on the paperwork changed from CD to SD Ibiza Islas Pitiusas. The nickname the supporters use, Els Vermells, comes from the red shirt worn with white shorts; away, the two colours simply swap places.

Which leaves the fixture that fills Can Misses. UD Ibiza was founded in 2015, three years after Sa Deportiva, in the same city, with no shared history at all — separate legal entities that grew up independently and have only occasionally found themselves in neighbouring divisions. The Derbi ibicenco is a derby with no love lost, and it exists because two clubs claim the same island rather than because either inherited anything from the other.
