In 2002 the youth side of SB 50 Ishøj met Brøndby IF in the SBU Pokal final and won 2:1.
SB 50 Ishøj had been going since 1950, Ishøj Boldklub since 1973. What ended the arrangement was not a merger of equals: SB 50's football department stopped functioning as a separate unit, and on 20 April 2017 what was left joined Ishøj Boldklub to become Ishøj IF . The name in Danish is Ishøj Idrætsforening — the sports association of the town, plainly stated.
The two Danish Cup appearances on record sit either side of the merger and read very differently. In 2007/08 the club went out to Dragør Boldklub 0:8. In 2020/21 it took Akademisk Boldklub into extra time before losing 1:2.
Home is the Ishøj Idrætscenter, the town's sports centre, also listed as Ishøj Stadion.
