Iveria Khashuri

The Pirveli Liga, Georgia's second tier, was decided in 1991–92, and Iveria Khashuri finished it as champions. It came in the years when Georgian football was building its own league after the Soviet Union, and the team from a railway town in Shida Kartli was among the sides that shaped the country's first top-flight seasons. The Umaglesi Liga, now the Erovnuli Liga, began in 1990, and Iveria were in it until relegation in 1997.

The 1990s squad has a long roll of names. David Iobashvili is one of them. After 1997 the club spent most of its time in the lower divisions. It reached the Georgian Cup round of 32 in 2017.

The Grigol Jomartidze Stadium, also known as the Central Football Stadium "Iveria", holds 2,000. Home shirts are red, with brown trim on the 2025 kit made by Joma. The nearest rival is Locomotive Gori. Games between the two are sometimes called the Khashuri–Gori derby, although the name has never been formally settled. In Liga 3, the club also meets Merani Tbilisi, an opponent from its top-flight years.

Iveria have been climbing again recently: promoted in 2024, promoted again in 2025.
