Kk Stip

A homeless man used to sleep by the outdoor court where KK Stip once played, a stretch of asphalt called Prolet. He died in a fire there. When the city finally built the team an indoor hall in the centre of Štip, near the National Theatre, it put his name on it: Sports Hall 'Jackson'. The building cost two million euros in municipal and state money and opened on 27 September 2026, holding 1,500 people.

The club has not troubled the record books. Since the Macedonian First League began keeping champions in 1992, the title has gone to Rabotnički fifteen times and to MZT Skopje Aerodrom thirteen, with Feni Industries, Nikol Fert Gostivar and Strumica 2005 sharing the rest. KK Stip's name appears in none of those lists, nor among Cup winners.

The roster has turned over just as the new hall opened. Aleksandar Kostoski, an 185cm guard who has worn the national jersey at two European Championships, left for Rabotnički this September. In his place came Ivica Dimcevski, a 195cm wing signed from KK Skopje, arriving at the same Jackson Hall his predecessor had just walked out of.

Rabotnički is the club Stip's own player just joined, and with fifteen championships to its name it sits at the opposite end of the table from a side still playing its first season.
