Komárov

Jan Smetana was in charge when Komárov won the 1.A třída in 1981/82 and stepped up into the krajský přebor for the first time.

The club had started out under a different name altogether. Founded on 1 May 1924 as DSK Komárov, it merged with AFK Komárov in 1930 to become SK Komárov, then was folded into TJ Spartak Komárov in 1949. Independence returned only on 5 June 2002, when the side split off under its present name, FK Komárov.

The next real climb came decades later. Promoted into the I.B třída in 2015, Komárov won the I.A třída and the Středočeský pohár in 2017 to reach the krajský přebor again, then took both titles a second time in 2019 and went up into Divize A. The following season, halted by the coronavirus pandemic, ended with the club third in the krajský přebor. Komárov also played a first-round tie in the MOL Cup that year.

Matches against SK Lhota are still billed locally as the derby of Kladno neighbours; games against Rakovník, Beroun's Český lev, Dobříš, Hořovice, Milín and Osek belong to an earlier stretch of the fixture list. Home games are played on Buzulucká street, at a ground holding 1,500, the team still out in royal blue.
