Kompanii Marjamaa

Kompanii Marjamaa has built a habit of pulling capped internationals back onto its pitch.

The club dates to May 1982, founded by Silvar Pärn and Sergei Riisalu under the sponsor names EPT and Tehniku before settling on Kompanii, a nod to the Märjamaa company of the Kaitseliit, the Estonian Defence League, that existed in the town through the 1930s. It has stayed an amateur side in the country's lower tiers ever since, its honours confined to regional IV liiga zones: runners-up to Tabasalu JK II in 2011, third in 2003.

Home matches are played at Märjamaa Staadion, shared with the local gymnasium; the Estonian sports register lists 100 fixed seats, though stadium databases elsewhere put capacity at 1,000.

What the club is best known for locally is what happens once a year in the Estonian Cup, where a side from the sixth tier draws opponents several divisions above. In 2024/25 that meant a last-32 tie against Narva Trans. The following season, Kompanii Marjamaa drew 4-4 with FC Generation in the same round and went through on penalties, 8-4.
