Kose

Kose staadion sits next to the town school — the ground also carries the names Kose Gümnaasiumi staadion and Oru Põhikooli staadion, all pointing to the same pitch shared between the club and local pupils. It holds 1,500 people, more than Kose, a town north-east of Tallinn, usually needs for a match in Estonia's lower divisions.

FC Kose was formed in 1998 and has spent nearly all the years since working through the III and II liiga, the third and fourth tiers of Estonian football. The closest the club came to a higher stage was in 2005, when a sixth-place finish in the II liiga stood as its best season at that level. Lower down, in the III liiga lääs, the record reads better: champions in 2014 and again in 2018, with four second-place finishes in the years before. The Estonian Cup has never brought Kose a trophy, but the club has pushed as far as the third round more than once, including in 2012 and 2014.

The team plays in orange, white and black, without a nickname attached to either the shirt or the town. On its own website, under a page titled "Legends," the club names the players it considers its own — among them Lauri Mihkelson, a name still used locally as a measure for the younger sides coming through.
