There have been several.
Founded in 1982, the club spent its first years in the Soviet Second League, finishing no higher than seventh in zone 9, in 1989. In 1998 the loss of professional status altogether. Amateur football followed: Nart won its zone in the KFK championship in 2001, returned briefly to the Second Division in 2002 and 2003, then was disbanded.
In 2023 it finished second in the Third Division and won the Southern and North Caucasus Federal District cup for amateur teams, beating Rostov's Stroitel 4-2 in the final, then took second place in the national final among interregional cup winners. A licence followed in 2024, and Nart moved up into Division B of Russia's Second League.
Aslan Dashaev, who returned to the club in 2026, is a more recent link to that same shirt.
Every version of Nart has measured itself against Stavropol's Dinamo. The two meet in what locals call the southern derby.
