Ramlingen / Ehlershausen

Manuel Brunne gave SV Ramlingen/Ehlershausen its best-known moment when he turned in a bicycle kick against VfL Oldenburg on 26 April 2010, a goal put forward for the ARD Sportschau's Goal of the Month and beaten only by Arjen Robben.

Its high point came in 2006, when it won the Niedersachsenmeisterschaft and went up to the Oberliga Nord — a single season that ended with relegation as the division's bottom club. The pattern has repeated since: promotion to the Oberliga Niedersachsen in 2020, another spell there from 2023 to 2024, another relegation. Philipp Rockahr, once a player at the club, was named head coach in March 2024, taking charge after that latest drop.

Matches against TSV Burgdorf carry the weight of a local derby, and few in the town let one pass without comment; a second, quieter needle exists against MTV Ilten. RSE also keeps a working relationship with Hannover 96.

Home games are played at what is now called the Wahrendorff-Arena, a ground with room for 2,500 that still goes by its older name, Waldstadion, among people in Ramlingen-Ehlershausen — a name that reaches back to 1921, when the club was founded and had none of what came after.
