Reinickendorfer Fuchse

Reinickendorfer Füchse enter the new season in the Oberliga Nordost-Nord, having won the Berlin-Liga in 2025/26 and gone up a division — the club's first trophy since 2014, after a decade spent short of the podium.

The badge dates to 28 January 1891, when the side began life as MTV Reinickendorf in the district it still carries in its name. Since a 2012 merger it has played on as the football section of Füchse Berlin Reinickendorf, turning out in green and white at the Sportplatz Kienhorststraße, a ground that holds 5,000; the reserves and youth teams use the smaller Stadion am Freiheitsweg instead.

The strongest run on the pitch came in 1989 and 1990, back-to-back titles in the old Amateur-Oberliga Berlin, then the third tier, though neither one carried the club up through the play-offs to the 2. Bundesliga. Two Berlin Cup wins followed, in 1997 and 2003; four other finals went the other way. The 2003 cup put the Füchse into that season's DFB-Pokal, where 1. FC Nürnberg ended the run.

Thomas Häßler and Kevin-Prince Boateng both came up through the club before their names travelled further, and Ashkan Dejagah and Ibrahim Maza followed the same path out of Reinickendorf.

These days it is BFC Preussen and Tasmania Berlin who bring the derby edge, a rivalry that has taken over from the older meetings with BFC Dynamo, Spandauer SV and Tennis Borussia Berlin.
