Santo Antonio

The 2nd District Division of the Santarém Football Association came twice to Assentis, in 2002–03 and again in 2004–05, both times as champions of the tier — the only silverware the parish has to show for six decades of amateur football.

Centro Recreativo e Cultural Santo António de Assentis has carried the parish colours, green and yellow, since 1964, in a village that sits within the municipality of Torres Novas. The shades were no accident: they match the parish and the municipality itself. In the pages of the weekly O Almonda , the team goes by "Os Amarelos" — the Yellows.

The Campo da Pinheira had its pitch relaid in artificial turf in July 2018. Matches there against Clube Desportivo de Torres Novas and Clube Atlético Riachense: Riachense supporters call the meeting with CD Torres Novas the "Derby do Concelho," the derby of the municipality.
