For a side that has spent most of its life moving between the Tyrolean top flight and Regionalliga West, the cup has been the steadier source of silverware.
The club came out of a group of local enthusiasts — Rudolf Huber and Fritz Bauer among them — who put together Fußball Klub Schwaz in 1921 and took it into the Tyrolean league system in 1932. The name has moved with the money since: Sportclub Schwaz after the war, and since the 2010s SC EGLO Schwaz, after the Schwaz lighting manufacturer Eglo Leuchten.
Second place in Regionalliga West in 1981 remains the highest the club has finished in a league. The Tyrolean title has come five times, spread thinly across seven decades — 1955, 1966, 1979, then a long gap before 2008 and 2013.
The 2021/22 season was the busiest of the recent ones: Schwaz won Regionalliga West and went up, and in the ÖFB-Cup reached the last 32.
Home is the Silberstadt Arena, also known as the Sportzentrum Schwaz. Of its 3,000 places, 450 are seats.
