Silberstadt Arena

The Silberstadt Arena The old name for the place has long since been swept away. When it opened in 2004 the facility carried the bland title of the Regionales Sportzentrum Schwaz , a name that said nothing about the town's history. Ten years later the local authority decided to use the past instead: Schwaz was once a silver mining centre, so the arena became the Silberstadt Arena.

Georgia played Malta here in a friendly in 2018, and the Austrian Women's Cup Final was staged on the same patch of turf earlier that year. The club that calls the place home, SC Schwaz, now plays in the Regionalliga West , a division that keeps the ground busy through the autumn and winter months.
