In the summer of 2015 the club went bankrupt. On 4 June, the town had a new one: FC Sevlievo, which claims the 1922 side as its own and so keeps the history of SC Rakovski, later FC Rositsa, later PFC Vidima-Rakovski.

The factory is the reason for the nickname.

The factory years were the club's best. Plamen Markov took the side up to the top flight for the first time in 2002–03. Gerasim Zakov scored its first goal at that level in 2003, and in 2003–04 the team finished 12th in the A Group and reached the quarter-finals of the Bulgarian Cup. In 2010, still under the Vidima-Rakovski name, it won the B Group, the second tier.

The re-founded club started again in the amateur leagues. It won the North-West Third League in 2024–25 and went back up to the Second League.
