Siheung Citizen

Two rivalries define Siheung Citizen's short life more than any table position: the Gatgol Derby against FC Namdong and the Suin-Bundang Line Derby against Ansan Greeners. That geography matters for a side that spent its first years scrapping to be taken seriously at all — the club was set up in Siheung on money left over from a partnership with FC Barcelona that fell through, and the early seasons brought as much scrutiny over public funding for player wages and a city council member's appointment as CEO as they did football.

The football caught up eventually. Promotion arrived in 2018 after the K3 League Basic title, then again in 2023 on the back of a runners-up finish in the K4 League. The bigger step came in 2024: Siheung Citizen won the K3 League outright, finishing four points clear of Gyeongju KHNP, before settling for second the following year.

Before him, Kike Liñero and Gléguer Zorzin each had a hand in shaping the club through its uncertain first seasons, but it is Park's name attached to the only title Siheung Citizen has actually won.
