The stadium in Tsalenjikha holds 4,000 people and takes its name from Sasha Kvaratskhelia, a defender who anchored the club through the 1970s and into the 1980s. His son Mamia followed him into the team, and so did his grandson Badri, who joined the youth side at 14, broke into the first eleven at 18, and stayed until Dinamo Tbilisi signed him in 1992. Badri's own son, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, now plays for Napoli and for Georgia's national side.

The club's name comes not from the town itself but from Skuri, a resort within the Tsalenjikha municipality. Its own website gives 2009 as the founding year, yet a side under the same name took part in the first championship of independent Georgia back in 1990, and the legal entity running today's club was registered only in 2015 — three dates, three sources, no agreement between them.

Before independence, Skuri played in the Georgian SSR's first division, then continued in the Pirveli Liga. Relegation followed in the 2010s: out of the Pirveli Liga in 2016, then out of Liga 3 the following year, leaving the club in the regional fourth tier by 2018. It won the western division of that regional league in 2019 and returned to Liga 4, where it has played since, finishing fifth in 2025. The home kit is white and blue.

No official derby exists, though fixtures against Samegrelo Chkhorotsku, Mertskhali Ozurgeti and Odishi 1919 of Zugdidi are treated as the closest thing to one, all three clubs drawn from the same corner of Samegrelo. It is still the ground named for Sasha Kvaratskhelia, in the town of Tsalenjikha, where those matches are played.
