Slavia Prague Era Nbk

Vladimír Vyoral won silver with Czechoslovakia at EuroBasket 1985 wearing Slavia's red and white, and the club spent most of this century trying to get back to where he once played. The original Slavia had folded in 2015, relegated all the way down to the sixth tier, and the badge sat unused until a new club, SK Slavia Praha – basketbal, registered under it in March 2020. Two years later that side won the 1. Liga and climbed back into the top flight, closing the gap between what Slavia basketball had been in the 1960s and 1970s — nine Czechoslovak league titles between 1965 and 1982 — and what it had become.

The name on the shirts today, SK Slavia Prague ERA NBK, reflects a merger completed in June 2026 with ERA Basketball Nymburk, the club that had dominated Czech basketball for years. Nymburk's team and its history moved to Prague under the Slavia name, pairing the country's most decorated modern club with one of its oldest.

Games are now played in front of around 1,350 spectators at Sportovní hala Slavia-Eden in Vršovice, a modest hall for a club now carrying European ambitions into the Basketball Champions League.
