Stade Lausanne-Ouchy

The club standing between Stade Lausanne-Ouchy and the Swiss Super League in the spring of 2023 was FC Sion. SLO had come third in the Challenge League and gone into the promotion play-off; they took the first leg in Valais 2–0, won the return 4–2, and went up for the first time in their history.

The stay lasted one season. SLO finished bottom of the Super League in 2023–24 and returned to the Challenge League.

Sion came back into the story in 2026, though not on the pitch. SLO beat Grasshopper 2–0 in the semi-final of the Swiss Cup and reached the final on 24 May; the first had been Sion, in 2006. FC Saint-Gall won the final 3–0.

Behind the hyphen in the name are two clubs, FC Ouchy-Olympic and FC Stade Lausanne, which merged in 1901.

What the trophy record holds is a third-tier championship and a play-off won. The Cup has been reached and lost, and the top division has been visited once.
