Strakonice

Since 2024, the team has been rebuilding from the bottom of South Bohemian football. The revival kept the name, SK Strakonice 1908, and restarted in the lower leagues.

That earlier history goes back to 8 September 1908, when the team played its first official match. Most of the decades that followed were spent in regional competition, county championship seasons won and lost across South Bohemia, but 1993/94 is the one year still mentioned: Strakonice won promotion into the ČFL, the third tier of Czech football. It lasted one match there before dropping straight back down to the Division.

There had been one earlier brush with something higher still. In 1940/41, the side won the western group of the Czech Countryside Division and went into a promotion qualifying round for the top flight, the only time in its history it got that far, finishing bottom of the group. A similar run followed in 1984/85, when winning South Bohemia's Group A carried the team back into the Division. Second-place finishes in 2002/03 and again in 2011/12 brought the club to the edge of the ČFL once more, without the 1993/94 promotion repeating itself.

Home matches are played at Stadion Na Křemelce in Strakonice, which holds 1,500, with occasional games switched to the TCM Mladé ground. Opponents have mostly come from within South Bohemia, Týn nad Vltavou and TJ Kaplice among the regulars, without any of those meetings hardening into a fixed rivalry.
