Tamaraceite

Football in the Tamaraceite district of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria took formal shape in the summer of 1966, when a club was registered on 26 June. For most of the decades that followed, that ambition stayed local. Union Deportiva Tamaraceite won the Segunda Regional de Las Palmas in 1978/79 and again in 1992/93 and 2000/01 — three titles across three separate generations.

Twice in the mid-1980s the club did not enter competition at all, and between 2010 and 2015 it disappeared from the leagues again. Tamaraceite won the Primera Regional in 2016/17, the Regional Preferente the season after, and then the Canary Islands group of the Tercera Division in 2018/19 — the first title the club had taken at that level. In 2019/20 they reached the second round of the Copa del Rey.

Tamaraceite finished fourth in Group 12 of the Tercera Federacion in 2025/26 and came back up through the play-offs, so the 2026/27 season is being played in Group 4 of the Segunda Federacion.
