Varbergs Bois Women

The first attempt began in the autumn of 2008, when the club started running training sessions for girls in the town; by 2009 there was a team to enter in Division 5, the fifth tier. After 2013 there were not enough players to field a side, and the section was dissolved.

The second attempt, in 2019, started one rung higher, in Division 4. The team finished third that year and went up anyway, taking a vacant place in Division 3. It has kept climbing since, and now plays in Superettan, the second tier of the Swedish women's game, with entries in the Svenska Cupen.

Home is Påskbergsvallen , an all-seater holding 4575, and known between 2020 and 2022 under the sponsored name Varberg Energi Arena. The shirts are green and black stripes over black shorts, which is where the supporters' name, grön-svart-randiga , comes from.

There are no national titles to set against that. In the years the women's team has been playing, the Svenska Cupen has gone to BK Häcken, FC Rosengård and Hammarby IF.
