«Bomb Maker»
Yangcheon TNT still line up in Seoul's K5 League and in the K5 Championship, the competition they won outright in 2025, a result that also earned the club Club of the Year at the KFA Awards. A vote of confidence in a project that measures itself less by league position than by what happens to the players who pass through it.
That project is the point of the club. TNT function as a development and rehabilitation side, a place for footballers to rebuild a case for the professional game, and more than 160 have gone on to sign professional contracts after a spell there. The nickname, Bomb Maker, refers to exactly that: a factory for turning unwanted or overlooked talent into something a professional club will take a chance on.
Home games are played at Mokdong Football Stadium, part of the Mokdong Sports Complex in Yangcheon-gu, with room for around 15,000. The ground gave the club its current identity after a 2023 agreement with the Yangcheon-gu district, when the side became known as Seoul Yangcheon TNT FC.
Before any of that, in April 2000, it started life simply as TNT FC, a club side based in Gangnam-gu with no thought yet of stadium naming rights or district partnerships — just a place for players to keep working at the game.
