Abuko Stadium
Abuko takes its name from the nature reserve on the western edge of the settlement. The ground itself carries on as it was.
Two clubs share it, both recent arrivals to the top flight. Falcons FC worked its way up through the lower divisions after forming in 2010 and now plays in the GFA League First Division. Today Makes Tomorrow FA, the newer of the pair, was set up in 2020 by Omar H.O. Saidykhan under the name Abuko United before the rebrand, and it sits in the same division.
Neither club runs an official website, and no capacity or opening date has been published for the stadium itself — it functions as a working local ground rather than a landmark venue, roughly eight kilometres southwest of Banjul. What is on record is its neighbour: the reserve is one of the smaller protected areas in the country, and the debate over the land last year was enough to reach national headlines even though the stadium itself rarely does.
