AFC Bournemouth Performance Centre (Canford Magna, Wimborne)

The dome went up first. AFC Bournemouth's academy and women's team were already training under it in January 2024, more than a year before the men's first team followed them out to Canford Magna, on the edge of Wimborne, in March 2025. The wider site, known as the Performance Centre, was not declared open until 25 April 2025, closing out a project reported at around £32m and spread across sixteen pitches.

That order of arrival says something about who the place was built for: the club's younger and women's sides had the run of it long before the senior squad that gives it its name turned up. The open-air pitches carry a hybrid surface, natural grass reinforced with synthetic fibres through the GrassMaster process, while the pitch under the dome is laid with artificial turf, so training does not stop for a Dorset winter.

No matches are played here. It is a working base rather than a matchday ground, and Bournemouth have kept the site's exact address, and much else about it, out of public view.
