Oostende before K.V. Oostende took it over in 1981. The club held it until 2024, when K.V. Diksmuide-Oostende became the resident side and the ground took its current name.
A decade later came the bigger change: a new main stand, opened in 2016-17, holding 3,700 seats along with business boxes and media areas. The project's budget crept from an initial 9 million euros to 12 million before it was finished.
The Belgian Cup has also passed through here on the way to bigger things — K.V. Oostende beat RWDM 2-0 in a quarter-final tie in January 2024, then drew 1-1 with Antwerp in the semi-final three weeks later.
