Birkerød Stadion

The ground sits south of the town on land that used to be a brickworks. The town engineer, Stadsingeniør Mygind Sørensen , drew up plans for the site and presented them in March 1955, and Birkerød Municipality took the work on itself. Seven years passed between the drawings and the opening, and in the meantime the club made do with temporary changing rooms on the site.

What it replaced was older. IF Skjold Birkerød had played at Kajerød since 1929, on a ground inaugurated in May of that year and enlarged in 1944. The move south ended that.

The biggest crowd came on 25 May 1971, when 2,819 people watched Birkerød play KB — a figure the ground has not approached since. Of the current capacity, only 168 places are seated; the rest stand on the banking.

The name has never changed. No sponsor has been attached to it, and it has been Birkerød Stadion throughout.

The pitch is natural grass, with an artificial surface laid on the second field in 2002. In 2019 it took matches in the Nordic Cup youth tournament.
