Boeun Stadium

The team known today as Mungyeong Sangmu WFC arrived under a different name and a different city's shadow: in 2015 it played as Busan Sangmu, forced out of Busan by a dispute with local authorities there. The following year the club formally relocated to Boeun and took the county's name, settling into the Boeun Public Stadium as its home ground. That arrangement held until 2023, when the side moved on again, this time to Mungyeong — though fixture sheets from the 2025 season still list Boeun Stadium as a venue for some of the club's matches, a trace of an tenancy that has not fully wound down.

The ground itself sits on Guncheong-gil in Boeun-eup, within the Ipyeong-ri area of the county, on natural turf. Capacity runs to 5,966 seats, with room for a further contingent of standing spectators beyond that figure on matchdays that draw a crowd. There is no former name attached to the venue — it has been the Boeun Public Stadium throughout, without the rebranding or corporate naming that reshapes so many Korean grounds.

What complicates the record is the opening date itself: some accounts trace the stadium's origins to 1991, others mark 2006 as the year it opened in its current form, likely after reconstruction. For a county ground built to serve local sport rather than a single tenant, that kind of layered history — one construction date folded into another — is not unusual.
