The main stadium carries its history in brick and concrete, but this training pitch sits a little apart. The field sits within the complex in the Deurne district of Antwerp, used primarily for reserve teams and local amateur matches. It does not claim the same weight of occasion as the main ground, which hosted its first match on November 1, 1923, and has since expanded into a 21,000-seat arena.

Floodlights stand at the corners, casting a flat white light over the natural grass surface. The capacity is modest; sources differ on the exact number, with figures ranging from 500 to 1,000.

The setting feels somewhat utilitarian, situated near the edge of the city where the main stadium’s modern redevelopment has not quite reached this smaller plot.
