Broadwood Stadium

On 8 January 2006, Clyde beat the reigning champions Celtic 2-1 in the Scottish Cup here, in front of a crowd that filled the ground to its limit of 8,000.

Broadwood was built in two phases by the Cumbernauld Development Corporation, the first finished in time for a February 1994 opening, the second completed two years later, at a combined cost of around £8 million. The name has not changed since, and neither has its role: a leisure-complex ground, run by Active NL for North Lanarkshire Council.

Clyde stayed longest, from that 1994 opening until 2022, but they were never alone. Airdrieonians used the ground in its first years, Rangers sent their reserve side here regularly, and when Glasgow City needed a pitch in 2020, and Open Goal Broomhill needed one after Clyde left, Broadwood took them in too. Cumbernauld Colts have held the main licence since 2012, Rangers Women play here, and Scottish Rugby's west academy has trained on the ground since 2015. In 2025 Hamilton Academical joined the list, moved out of New Douglas Park by a dispute over their own stadium.

The 3G surface, laid for Clyde's switch ahead of the 2012–13 season, has also carried Scotland's under-21 side and, in 2014, two international tournaments within months of each other: the Scottish Rugby Union's finals day and the first Commonwealth Championship in rugby league, where Papua New Guinea beat Australia 22-8 ahead of that summer's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Four Scottish Challenge Cup finals were played here between 1996 and 2003.
