The ground opened in 1946 and is still written both ways, Bryne Stadion and Brynestadion, without either form being wrong. No sponsor has ever attached a name to it.
The capacity moved for the first time in years ahead of the 2025 season, up from 4,000 to 5,000, and the seated portion of the ground grew with it, to roughly 3,000. The rest of the increase is standing.
