Bryntirion Park

Bryntirion Park has changed its name more often than its address. The ground on Llangewydd Road has traded as The Kymco Stadium, the SDM Glass Stadium and the DragonBet Stadium in turn.

That club began as Bryntirion Athletic, and it was Athletic that bought the land in 1996. The clubhouse and drainage work were only finished on 23 December 2000, and it opened as a ground. A merger in 2013 turned the tenant into Pen-y-Bont FC, and that same year the old turf gave way to a 3G artificial surface, which is what the pitch has been ever since.

It holds 1,500 — no Wales fixtures have been played here, and no concerts either. Bridgend County Borough Council has had a hand in funding ground improvements over the years, though the ownership of the site itself is not clearly recorded.
