Camp Nou de Morvedre

Port de Sagunt built this ground under the name Estadi Municipal Fornàs. The nickname — Camp Nou de Morvedre — is worn without irony by the people who go there for Atlético Saguntino.

The pitch is artificial, which sets it apart from most grounds of its size still clinging to grass long past the point of it making sense. Management passed from the Spanish federation to the town council in 2023, on a 25-year arrangement — the kind of quiet administrative shift that says more about a club's standing in its own city than any result on the pitch does.

At four thousand capacity, it is not built for spectacle. It is built for Saturday afternoons in a steel town that has always measured itself against the bigger clubs up the coast without ever quite becoming one.
