The Cashman family gave the ground on North Las Vegas Boulevard, and their name has stayed on it through two separate stadiums — the first standing from 1947, the second raised on the same site and opened on 1 April 1983 to designs by Tate & Snyder with R. Gary Allen Design Architects.

For most of its life it was a baseball park, and the crowd record belongs to that era: 15,025 came on 3 April 1993 for a Big League Weekend meeting of the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Cubs , a figure well above the listed capacity of 9,334. The Las Vegas Stars held the lease from 1983, the Las Vegas 51s from 2001, and the Triple-A World Series came here three years running from 1998.

Football arrived only after the baseball tenant left for a new stadium in 2019. The 2018 conversion took out the pitching mounds and lowered the infield, and the surface laid then is hybrid Bermuda 419. When the baseball tenant left for a new stadium in 2019, a further round of work followed, and Las Vegas Lights FC inherited the place. The U.S. Open Cup came in 2024; the Vegas Vipers played XFL games here in 2023.

The City of Las Vegas sold the Cashman Complex to Lennar in 2025 for around $36 million. Lights FC play the last game on 17 October 2026.
