What sets El Barrial apart from an ordinary club ground is that nobody comes here to watch. The complex sits in the community of El Barrial, in the municipality of Сантьяго, in the state of Nuevo León. It opened on 18 April 2006 as the Centro de Entrenamiento El Barrial , built and owned by FEMSA.
The name changed in 2016, when the club reached an agreement with the bank BBVA and the site became the Centro de Entrenamiento BBVA El Barrial . That same period brought more than a sign: across 2016 and 2017 the complex was rebuilt and extended.
Six pitches, five of them natural grass. The sixth is synthetic — one surface out of six, kept for the sessions that need it. Cancha 1, the main pitch, is grass.
On 20 December 2022 the site added dedicated facilities for the women's side, the Rayadas.
