Diósgyőri Stadion
New arrivals to Andrássy út find a stadium that shares its footprint with a ground almost eight decades older, and nothing else. The previous Diósgyőri Stadion stood on this spot from 1939 until 2016, when it was cleared to make way for what came next. Construction ran from September 2016 to October 2017, and the pitch itself tells its own story: workers laid the natural grass on 19 October 2017, only after fitting an underfloor heating system beneath it. The current stadium opened on 5 May 2018, seating 15,325.
Along the way the ground has carried a string of names that trace the club's sponsors and eras rather than any change of address — DFC Stadion in the 1990s, later the DVTK-Borsodi Aréna, among others. The site itself has never moved; only the structure on it has been rebuilt from scratch.
