In May 2018, days after the ground opened, Diyarbekirspor played Tire 1922 SK and 41,000 people got in — 33,000 with tickets, 8,000 without.
It belongs to Turkey's youth and sports ministry and is run by local authorities. Three clubs use it — Amed Sportif Faaliyetler , Diyarbekirspor and Diyarbakırspor.
The national team followed a year later, on 10 May 2019, beating Scotland 2:1 in a friendly through goals from Ozan Kabak and Cengiz Ünder.
The pitch is hybrid turf. The design came from Arma Mimarlık, the construction from Yıldızlar Grup.
