Stadium
Essity Stadium
Formerly: Cae-y-Castell
Flint Town United moved here in 1993, leaving the previous Holywell Road ground behind, and the site took its name from what stands nearby: Cae-y-Castell, the field of the castle, a reference to Flint Castle a short walk away.
That name lasted until August 2019, when a sponsorship deal saw the ground renamed Essity Stadium , after the manufacturer with a plant in the area.
The more substantial change came in 2022, when the club replaced the natural turf with a 3G artificial pitch, a £500,000 job carried out by PST Sport ahead of the 2022/23 season and checked off against Football Association of Wales size requirements before the campaign started.
