Estadio 17 de Octubre

Formosa's stadium carries the date of its own opening in its name, and then, decades later, wore it a second time. Built as the ground of Club Sportivo General San Martín and known for years simply as the cancha de San Martín, it opened on 17 August 1971. The old name still surfaces locally, but the current one records a different day: 17 October 2014.

That renovation is what shapes the place today more than its original construction does.

It sits apart, worth noting, from Estadio Antonio Romero.
