Estádio 19 de Outubro
Ijuí, Brazil
Formerly: Estádio da Baixada
The Estádio 19 de Outubro sits in the Santo Antônio district of Ijuí, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
The venue opened on 20 February 1938, marking the formal construction of the wooden stands and the inauguration of Esporte Clube São Luiz. The name 19 de Outubro honours the date Ijuí was founded.
Over the decades, the stadium has remained a local fixture. It hosted its first night game in 1974 against Grêmio, a match that required the installation of floodlights.
The capacity of the ground is contested. International records list 8,000, while local Brazilian sources from 2014 and 2024 suggest the number is closer to 4,800. The highest attendance recorded is 18,145, set in 1997 during a Copa do Brasil tie against Internacional. More recently, the stadium hosted the Recopa Gaúcha 2024 Final on 28 February 2024, where São Luiz defeated Grêmio 2–0. The club also used the ground to eliminate Juventude in the first round of the Copa do Brasil in 2023. Recent maintenance in late 2025 focused on soil decompaction and drainage rather than structural changes.
