Estadio Álvaro Gómez Hurtado

Built for the 1996 Juegos Deportivos Nacionales, the stadium opened in Mensulí, the sector of Floridablanca that clings to the road toward Piedecuesta. New North and South stands were poured, dressing rooms and press cabins were added, and the total capacity was pushed to 12,000. The money came from the municipality and a private benefactor, Carlos Ardila Lülle, who also owns Atlético Nacional. Two years later, lighting towers went up for night matches.
Atlético Bucaramanga returned for a second stint in 2025, making it their home base again.
The stadium has kept its name since it was dedicated to Álvaro Gómez Hurtado, a politician assassinated in 1995. A proposal to rename it after Ardila Lülle was turned down. The address is Calle 45a, near the La Estancia bus station, and the complex carries his full title: Unidad Deportiva Álvaro Gómez Hurtado.
